Diana Chu
Compositor - Producer

I am currently a graduate student seeking a M.F.A. at Savannah College of Art and Design.

For as long as I can remember, cinema has been an inspiration for me. I always looked forward to our weekly trips to the movie theater or local Blockbuster, soaking in the fantastic images that would appear on screen. At home, I would try to reproduce those images and hone my drawing skills. Then, in 2008, Avatar upped the ante. I was taken aback by the complexity of the visuals, sparking an initial interest in the field of VFX. After some research, it became apparent that this was my passion. Visual Effects combines my love of drawing with the experience of cinema.
Savannah College of Art and Design has afforded me the opportunity to follow my dreams and get into the field that has so inspired me all these years. Through hard work and determination, I am honing my skills to become a compositor and producer. After three years in the graduate program, I have learned that I thrive in a teamwork environment, getting inspiration from those around me. It has been a wonderful experience, and I hope to continue being a part of hard-working, creatively-driven teams throughout my career.
